Our area of Florida is a unique part of the Sunshine State that boasts a stunning natural landscape, a wealth of culture and history, and an easy-going lifestyle that makes visitors from around the world feel right at home.
Palm Coast, FL and The Hammock are home to miles of pristine beaches, dozens of parks, nature trails, and “Old Florida” beauty. America's oldest city, St. Augustine, offers countless historic attractions, terrific shopping, and eclectic dining options. Flagler Beach is a sleepy little beach town that is a throwback to a simpler time.
Old oaks, palmetto palms and hammock-shaped dunes form a plush environment in this region. Coquina sands give our distinctive shores a unique "cinnamon" color. Golfers can find world-class courses around practically every corner, and boaters revel in the fact that the famous Intracoastal Waterway runs right through the center of our cities.
Many families come here to enjoy a peaceful, relaxing vacation and escape all the “hustle and bustle” for a while. However, there is still plenty to see and do for those looking for a little excitement.
Swim with the dolphins at Marineland or tour the Castillo de San Marcos, a spectacular fort built in the 1600s. Rent a kayak and explore endless canals or enjoy a one-of-a-kind wildlife experience at the Alligator Farm. Indulge yourself in a sea of brand names at the outlet malls, or satisfy your need for speed at the famous Daytona International Speedway. For families, Disney World and Orlando with its world-famous attractions are a just a little more than an hour away. Kennedy Space Center is also close enough for a day trip. There’s so much to see and do, or you might choose to just sit on one of our beautiful beaches and do nothing at all!
Our area is hard to leave, but easy to get to. We’re within 75 miles of four international airports, and all of our vacation rentals are easy accessible off of I-95 and/or A1A.
Jacksonville (JAX): A good number of available flights and easy to get in and out of. Carriers include AirTran, American, Continental, Delta, JetBlue, Southwest, and US Airways. (60-90 minutes away).
Orlando International (MCO): One of the nation’s major airports. 35 airlines fly in and out, including all major U.S. airlines. By far the most flight selections in the area but also a little further away than the other options and typically a bit more congested. (90 minutes-2 hours away).
Daytona Beach (DAB): Closest airport to our area and very easy to get in and out of, but not many flights available. Direct flights to and from Atlanta (Delta) and Charlotte (US Airways). (30-45 minutes away).
Orlando-Sanford (SFB): Closer, smaller alternative to MCO. The main carrier is Allegiant Air, which offers flights from many small U.S. airports, including Allentown (Pennsylvania), Chicago-Rockford, Roanoke (Virginia), and Bangor (Maine). Also several international flights, mostly to/from the United Kingdom on Thomson Air. (60-90 minutes away)
